Adopt a Float programme to the  students and teachers from the Mathematical High School “Dr. Petar Beron” in Varna

On 3 June 2026, scientists from the Institute of Oceanology – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences presented the “Adopt a Float” programme (https://adoptafloat.com/)  to the  students and teachers from the Mathematical High School “Dr. Petar Beron” in Varna.

“Adopt a Float” is a multidisciplinary educational programme that offers students the opportunity to explore the global ocean and understand the importance of ocean research for its protection and sustainable management. By adopting an underwater robot known as a Argo float, students and their teachers from primary and secondary schools around the world are introduced to ocean science and are guided in exploring a wide range of ocean-related topics using real scientific data.
